SO GOOD.

The ImperfectsThe Imperfects by Amy Meyerson

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Viktor with a K is like Klaus with a K and I didn't trust him from the start. That is all I will say about that. Read the book for yourself. It was THAT good. I adored it. I could not put it down. Why I chose to read it during a holiday that FORCED ME TO PUT IT DOWN. Because family will not let you read during Christmas WAHH.

The Millers. Oh what a dysfunctional family. I LOVE THEM ALL. And each of the imperfections. The title it makes sense to me completely.

Beck, I could not have been friends with someone like her. Only because I myself am the hard headed one and two hard headed people will not get along. I love how Ashley mediates to Jake- her being here IS her apologizing to you hahaha. That would be me as well I would mouth off but not be able to wind it back about what I said oh no I meant it all. You just couldn't handle it and that is your fault.

Jake. Ehhhh. I was not to fond of this failboat. Until Kristi tells him he is going to be a Dad and he HAS to grow up. The fact he has to man up and face all of his failures I came to get some respect for him in the end. But all along I was like yeah no.

Ashley oh girl I guess I will never be married as I would have dropped him in a heartbeat putting my family in a situation like that where we lose our house and he goes away to prison? I would not have taken that well at all.

Then we have their Mother, Deborah. No nickname for her just Deborah the entire story. She is a whole different continent of character. All three Miller children hold a lot of hostilities against their mother for how she raised them or more for how her mother Helen took up the slack in raising them for Deborah's abandonment. In the end she always means well really. It just never ends up happening the way she plans it.

Now them happening upon a diamond Helen left behind to Beck, in her will that was inside a brooch she had. I believe that was the hook line and sinker keeping me invested in this book. Finding out HOW Helen got it. That it happened to be a long lost Austrian heirloom. Then before the Millers know it, it is seized by the FBI and NATIONS are fighting them over ownership of it- WHAT. the intensity was crazy. I loved all the historical references.

Then we get the Nazi escape Helen made, and to meet her mother Flora too.

It was just written so well! This is an author I will follow well into the future. I loved her first book and I enjoyed this one just as much if not more! Can I give it TEN stars? I wish.

Most deffo recommend.
