They Both Die at the EndThey Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.

And tragic oh so tragic.

I will mourn the futures Mateo and Rufus could've had.

The side story about the famous actor I could have done without but hey I guess the Death whatever can hit anyone!

I found myself wanting to see if the things in New York City existed like the park mentioned then the museum-like place and the other thing then I was like nahhh let the story be what it is as the Author wrote it. I don't have to fact check everything all the time. Fiction is not history Melissa let it be. At least the Hudson got it's shout out ha yuck.

I mean if I'd taken a star off it would have been for too many side stories and not enough sticking to just Mateo and Rufus? That is about it though I enjoyed the terror of the entire thing. I most definitely never thought about death at 17. I was faced with it at 32 but thankfully as I sit here writing this you know I won.

I really feel for Mateo's dad though, he's in a coma for all of it. Like where will he be if/when he wakes up?

I didn't cry though thankfully. The title helped me to accept their fates before it all went down. I was gut-punched and all other emotions though. Here, read it.
