The Judge's ListThe Judge's List by John Grisham

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is much more Grisham's style than Camino Winds. I was highly disappointed by that one.

However this one I still had to lop off a star because of how it panned out towards the end. Jeri did not get her redemption and Bannick is a coward of the worst kind.

I can say I still adored Lacy, even though I vaguely remember her first appearance from the Whistler I went back and looked that that review. So this was like meeting her all over again and surprise! I still like her. Allie was kind of touch and go a minor character that was in the background of the main character, where that being a guy's name comes from though? The ending chapter with them was cute. I guess he is good enough for my Lacy.

I really really like Jeri. And all her aliases and paranoias I would be like that too. She is way too smart. I wish she had gotten the redemption angle she rightfully deserved and I was so scared for her in that one part, the bastard!

I bought this book was a preorder and when it came in the mail I had to wait just one day to finish the book I was currently reading to begin it. Life was getting in the way of me really getting into it for a few days but once it took off I could not stop after a certain point and I was like COME ON WOMEN GET HIM. NAIL HIM TO A WALL.

So yeah the one star off for my utter disappoint at the ending. The one other part was witty though. I wanted total destruction of the person though, the coward's way out was not appreciated whatsoever, nor was the using of an addiction center as a hideaway. Although, I should add it back for being WAY better than Camino Winds. I almost gave up on Grisham for that disaster.
