The Darkest Part of the ForestThe Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I actually totally enjoyed this.

Sleeping boy in the glass coffin hooked me. Finding out who he was and how he got there was even more enjoyable. And all the other characters including the Monster from the "Darkest Part of the Forest" was quite interesting and it was totally not who the story led you to believe. That person's demise was aces.

The whole ye Gods he's out of the coffin and AWAKE after being in there for hundreds of years oh noes who did it. So silly and good and Oh did she really? HOW DOES SHE NOT REMEMBER.

It was all explained later on.

Hazel was totally my girl all the way through. She reminded me a lot of myself but then again there were traits about her I was like wait nope then again I am nothing like that.

Ben getting his happy ever after made me happy ever after as well.

Second book I have read where someone was like CANNOT FINISH and I'm like hahaha so glad I did I loved it!

Now if only I could teach myself to write fairies.
And happy gooey things like this.

It was you [livejournal.com profile] jeune_fleur that okay let me just copy your goodreads status for it "Unfortunately I couldn't keep on reading this book and dropped it :( The premise was nice, but... it didn't keep me on the edge." and you have it on dropped shelf so I believe that is a did not finish for you. Sorry you felt that way. I really enjoyed this book! Like I said in my last review for The Glass Hotel, when someone hates it, it fuels my need to read it, when I scanned the cover of it in the book store I saw your line in my goodreads and was like okay this one is coming home with me. And thanks for not making it- win for me!
