SiddharthaSiddhartha by Hermann Hesse

Well I didn't hate it as much as I did in high school. However, I still didn't love it. Reading people's reviews about the best book ever- yeah no, not even close. In high school everyone else hated Gatsby and I loved that and they all loved this and I hated it. Yeah I get hate is a strong word but it was a really awful book for me. I really have not changed my opinion in age. I understand it better than I did with my younger brain. I still dreaded when it was time to pick it up and read. I kept praying it would be over soon as I flipped each kindle page.

I like that Siddhartha became his own enlightened one, without having the buddha's teachings. In my opinion the best part is when he was with the Ferryman Vasudeva. They had a great dynamic. That was one part I did like to read. Other parts were like getting dental work done but that one was good.

Now I have one of twelve books checked off a list I picked up somewhere on the internet.
I vow to never read this book again.
Nor force anyone else to. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
